The Daffodil Festival, a 501(c)(3) Organization, will celebrate its 77th year during the 2010 festival season and takes pride in calling the great State of Washington, specifically Pierce County, its home. The Festival is an annual event that culminates in April with a Grand Floral Street Parade, which travels through the cities of Tacoma, Puyallup, Sumner and Orting, all in one day.
The theme for the 2010 parade is "Carousel of Spring". The highlights of the year include activities for the whole family. The Festival's activities showcase the importance of youth and provide positive venues for their talents. The Daffodilians hope you and your family will enjoy and participate in the many family oriented events and that it will prove to be a memorable time. Adding many more wonderful memories to your Daffodil Festival experiences.

Welcome to our 2010 Daffodil Festival season. This year our
theme is Carousel of Spring. I work at the Puyallup Fair & Events
Center & serve on the Board of Directors of the Pierce County Fair.
This has allowed me the opportunity to gain experiences with fairs and
festivals over the years. Like the horses on the carousel the economy of
today is seeing some ups and downs. Our Royalty program is the epitome
of elegance. Put it all together and what we have is our own carousel.
Now that we have our “Carousel of Spring” let all of us in our
communities reach for that brass ring. I am certainly looking forward to
working with the volunteers from the schools, Daffodilians, Services
clubs, members of the communities and all the other hundreds of
volunteers it takes to put on a successful Festival Season. |
